PROBLEM STATEMENT
People still struggle to track and control their budgets even with an app.

BACKGROUND
I tried several apps to help me to track my spending and help me saving money; however, I could not always reach my saving goal. The turning point was when I started using Google Sheets to record my weekly expenditure and set a weekly spending goal ($200); surprisingly, the goal became easy to meet. After a year, when I checked the yearly cost and savings, I saved more money than before. I realized many of my friends were struggling with saving money and tracking their budgets as I was. So, I recommended the weekly spending recording tips to them, and the way also works for them.
UNDERSTANDING
The key to reaching big goals is to break them down into small steps.

GOAL & OUTCOMES
Build a short-term tracking budgeting app to help people track their weekly spending, save money, and finally allow them to reach a long-term financial goal.
Onboarding
Easy to set budget, saving time and reducing the learning curve.
Give users a quick way to set up their budget; instead of going to the landing page, I ask users do the primary setting in the onboarding section, which can allow users to get started quickly and avoid dropping off the app from the beginning.
Budget tracking
Add new expenses

Easy-to-add expenses
Users can use a simple and easy interaction to input their spending when they have new expenditures.
Budget Data Visualisation
Budget Data Visualisation is an interactive visualization, enabling users to drill down into weekly, monthly, and yearly expenditures and income.
Weekly budget control and alert
Outstanding alerts and the progress on the home page to show the updating budget status can help users always pay attention to their spending and financial goal.
